I am trying to get a more "painterly" look to my images using textures, brushes and scribble with the pencil tool. Rather than using images to create a background (my usual way) I am approaching the digital image like an actual canvas and making the background. I also am a painter so this is a natural way for me to work - I am not quite there yet with what I envision but getting close.
