The Nest

I walk every morning and this is a picture I took a few weeks ago before the leaves started coming out.  I love bare trees - their silhouette against the sky and all the little mysteries that are revealed when their leaves fall.  I especially like the abandoned nests and I wonder what bird created this home and how the baby birds faired.

Painted Angel

Well this complete image is made up even the model.  

I created the background using an oil painted texture - I added textures and trees over this and a couple of blend modes.

The model is a composite of two different photos.

The wings were created from a Katie Pertiet gesso brush that I thought might make good painted wings

Underwater

So I heard on the news someone put skeletons underwater in lawn chairs as a joke.  I thought that would make a great digital image - so here are my underwater skeletons.

I extracted the women from a vintage photo and then created the background and all the stuff around it with textures and over lays. AWAKE content and training by Katie Pertiet.   Something a bit different for me - I want to work on a few images with more white so this is a start.
