Almost that time of year. I have a love of all things besom - I just made my first one this week. I wanted to make an image featuring a besom but not the usual witch image. Will be making more besom images for sure.
I made this image in Photoshop - the first time I have used it in a number of years. So different from my iPad work but this is a good thing. No reason I can't do both. I feel a change coming in my work and my art in general. Time to move forward.

Making The Dining Room Window

This is my original image - my photo of a still life in my dining room window.  I created the complete image in iColorama and added the frame last in Snapseed.  So this is the image I brought into iColorama.

This was the first step in - iColorama I used Brush, Rebound and a rather large brush. I painted over the white covering not revealing the complete image underneath.

The next step I added a small texture two warm the image a bit Effects, Blend I used the blending mode Soft Light and lowered the opacity.

I next added a little bit of a text image on the left Effects, Blend I used the blending mode Soft Light and lowered the opacity.

Added a little bit of a texture on the right bottom Effects, Blend I used the blending mode Soft Light and lowered the opacity.

I next added a little bit of a texture on the right Effects, Blend I used the blending mode Soft Light and lowered the opacity.  Next I added the star on the creamer Effects, Blend normal and lower opacity.

Subtle change a texture that lightened and cooled the image very low opacity.

Added dot texture on the left. Low opacity.

Added a canvas type texture over the whole image lowered opacity and masked it off the flowers. 

Added more texture to warm up the image and made adjustments to the exposure and contrast. I decided I wanted it warmer.

Added my signature in iColorama and the over to Snapseed for the frame.  The whole image was made in iColorama - that is my iPad App of choice.  I actually could have made it in a layering App such as Procreate or Superimpose but I prefer iColorama.  For me it is all a balancing act - add stuff, remove stuff, add textures, warm or cool and just keep going until I get something I like.
