This was such a fun image to create and I love it, especially the sheep behind the chair.  I kind of knew what I wanted but was thinking maybe a farm in the BG but this works better and all the emphasis is on the main images.

Week 20 Challenge - Beautiful Creatures

In a small Carolina town, where it seems little has changed since the Civil War, sixteen-year-old Ethan is powerfully drawn to Lena, a new classmate with whom he shares a psychic connection and whose family hides a dark secret.

The challenge - to redesign a book cover from a book we love but think the cover is unappealing.

A vintage Valentine sent so long ago - it may be discolored and stained but it is still cherished. Today and the next 2 days Valentine images. 

Family Portrait - Amelia

I wanted to have the feeling of an old masters oil painting. Vintage image extracted, colored and put into a vintage frame. A few textures and blending modes - nothing fancy. I picked this image because I love the expression on the girl's face - she is beautiful and I wonder who she really is. Maybe I will create the whole family!  I think for the next 3 days I will do some Valentine's Day images - Friday is the big day!

In honor of upcoming Valentines Day a vintage cupid. I added lots of stuff and coloring. In the bottom right are some Valentine Postoids that I made. I love to make Postoids and use them to decorate any mail I send out - too bad I don't mail much anymore. Below are some Valentine postoids.

Lots of stuff going on here - I extracted the girl and placed her in the industrial background. I added a lot of textures and blending modes. I also added the ghost image of an angel and the owl and tried to tie it altogether with the warm coloring.

OOB Images

I have discovered OOB images and they are addicting and fun to make.  OOB - Out Of Bound images the image must break free of the frame at some point.  The above image is called Red and was my third try at an OOB. 

This image is called Painted Horses and was my fourth OOB.

Here are some OOB cows my second try.  Although these are not my style I think they are fun to do and I am sure I will do more. 

The Swans

I just wanted to try something different and a bit more simplified. Sometimes I get carried away with my images and start adding lots of stuff, textures and blending modes.  Not that there isn't quite a few layers and techniques here but it is a different look.
