Last Days Of Summer

I heard on TV last night this weekend described as "The Last Days of Summer".  I live at the NJ shore and for us that is a good thing. This is a picture I took of the beach at Bay Head (before the hurricane).  I added the sail boat, chairs, beach ball, pail and the sea gull all separately, moved them around until I liked their placement.  I then added texture and a boarder trying to make that old seaside post card look. I like my images to tell a story.

This is another version of the PA farm - I think I like this one better.  I always like my images to tell a story but these past 2 were just to try out techniques - I don't find that as interesting.

I have a couple of CD's with these old images. Here is one I played around with in Photoshop - I colored it, layered it, textured it and did some blending modes. Fun stuff.

No More Sailing

Somewhere beyond the sea - No More Sailing.  I live by the ocean and it can be beautiful and cruel.  I LOVE mastheads and this one is just amazing. I like to take my camera down to the fishing docks and take photos - nothing worse then a sunken ship - her glory days are over.

Starry Eyed

I love old sepia images.  This one was in B&W but with a few layers, blending modes and some tweaks it is now sepia.  I love her expression.

Serious Moonlight

As per David Bowie - this is Serious Moonlight.  I have this song in my head - must have heard a snippet somewhere.  This is my idea of Serious Moonlight - not just the plain old stuff!

Time Marches On

Time Marches On - boy does it ever.  August already summer nearly over, back from PA.  I will be going to Maine soon - well in September - but I bet it will be here soon.
