Card number 2 in the Major Arcana of the Tarot - The High Priestess. Trust your inner voice you have hidden knowledge of the inner, spiritual world. My Priestess is standing before a gate to the other side - the realm of the hidden and unconscious - she holds the message of inner wisdom and dreams.

I love the Tarot and I love to make tarot images - I may do the complete Major Arcana in this style - maybe!!!!

Work In Progress

Working on this Tarot card - The Empress.  Sort of Steampunk/dark image.   In the Tarot the Empress is a mother figure, maternal and sexual.  Well I do have a baby carriage in this one.   Not too sure where I am going with it or even if I am going ; )

I extracted the girl then made the BG with lots of different textures and images then I extracted flowers from the top of the Mucha image and placed them on the bottom of mine. Kanchan's collages are all hand made and a lot of them use Mucha's women. I made this one digitally.

I know Friday's Child is full of woe and she looks pretty happy - I am one - but today is Friday the 13th so just thought it was a good name.

I extracted the girl from a vintage photo and found the bathtub image to place her in. I added the turquoise towel in the tub. I wasn't sure if I wanted her floating in water or outside the water but opted for the dock. Next I thought wings and a turtle to keep her company. Then I added everything else and some textures and blending modes. Below are the main images I used in this composition.
