Happy New Year

Well it is the last day of 2012 - I hope 2013 brings health and happiness.  I am leaving this year with another watcher looking back over the year and looking forward to a new one.  Happy 2013!

Today is Yule - the world didn't end but the weather is not so very nice.  I am hoping for an excellent New Year.

Morning Walk

I took my morning walk and it was a rainy grey day.  Everything was dull and washed out.  Here is a photo I took and played around with it a bit just to jazz it up some.

So I thought I would do a few holiday images.  The background in this one is a composite of 2 PA snow photos - I added Santa, animals and snow flakes on top with some textures. I am not sure how many Christmas images I will do but this is a start.

Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving but I am posting my image today, tomorrow I will be in PA having dinner with the skinny cousins from California.  I sure do have plenty to be thankful for this year - having survived the hurricane, having this great house and wonderful community, being healthy and able to do the things I love and having a great husband and 2 wonderful kitties - and this is just the tip of the Thanksgiving iceberg  I always liked Thanksgiving it is a nice unassuming holiday.  So have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone and enjoy your dinner!

Bringing The Sexy Back

Not too sure where this came from but here it is!  I heard a song on the radio today as I was driving called Bringing The Sexy Back and I couldn't help but to make an image.  

Bay Head NJ Before The Hurricane

Bay Head, NJ - one of my favorite places and a place I have always wanted to live.  All this before the hurricane.  I think it has mostly been destroyed.  I haven't been back to the shore since the storm and I only live 10 minutes away.

Moon Child

I am still thinking moonlight and darkness - maybe it is the time change.  It is dark here before 5 and I don't like it at all. But then again I love the moon being a moon child myself.  Love this image, the full moon over the ocean just right for a ghostly dance.

Veterans Day

I want to thank all of those who serve our country - past, present and in the future.  I appreciate all that you do to insure that we have our freedom.  My dad was a WWII vet - I miss you daddy.

Dancing In The Moonlight

I am thinking about moon light today.  Nothing better than dancing on the beach under a full moon - wonder why they still have their clothes on??  

Girls Night Out

I had this old image of these 3 women for a long time and always wanted to do something with it.  I put them in this archway added a moon and lots of textures plus a blue color cast and here we go - the Girls Night Out.  It works for me and they are looking fierce.

The Crow

Almost Halloween looking but it isn't.  I had lots of time to play yesterday - with Photoshop, watercolor and beads.  It was a long snowy day here at the Jersey shore.  I love crows and we have a lot of them here - they can be noisy but they are so smart and quite endearing.   I paired this beauty with trees and moon light - lots of layers and textures.  Love it.

Music In My Head

Some more play with Elements.  I so love this program especially since I cannot afford the full blown version of Photoshop.  This does everything I want so I am happy.  We may get some snow today into tonight then in the sixties over the weekend - weird.  I don't like snow much but LOVE to paint it.

I'll Fly Away

Did a little bit of work today with Elements.  I am calling this Fly Away.  That is about how I feel right now with all the political stuff going on - it is election day.  I am just so sick of it all.  I think your political views are just that, YOURS - and mine are mine.  I never discuss my political views or who I am voting for - too bad everyone else doesn't do the same.  I do not mind people telling me to get out and vote but I resent them telling me who to vote for.  Well enough of all that - tomorrow one side will be gloating and the other will be pissing and moaning they were robbed.  Meanwhile we are expecting another storm ; (

Fall Walk

This is a photo along the walking path where I live in NJ - this was before the hurricane no leaves left now and another storm is closing in - maybe some snow ; (

Fall Flowers

Mums - one of my favorite things about fall are the mums.  I have all different colors out front on my porch.  I cut off these bronze colored flowers and put them in a small honey jar. They have been in my kitchen window for over a week and they make me happy!

Fall Day

Here is a picture I took before the hurricane on one of my morning walks.  I just had to play around with it a bit.  Now all the leaves are gone and lots of the trees too - so sad.

Happy Halloween

Trick or Treat my last Halloween image.  I sure had fun making all of these images and I achieved my goal - one a day for more than the month.  I am sad that I had to take in all my outdoor decorations for the hurricane but so thankful we had no damage like most people here at the NJ shore.  The pictures are devastating and I pray for all those affected - it is going to be a LONG recovery.  Happy Halloween!

My latest - I seem to have a thing for sculls and skeletons this year - wonder why??  Usually for me it is witches and black cats.  So check out this little corner of the grave yard - make sure you don't venture over there.

Two New Images

See I forgot to post my reaper image yesterday so it is 2 again today.  Top is not the Avon lady calling and the bottom is the Lady of the Lake Halloween style.  Getting close to the end of the month so I need to keep the ideas coming.
